Cabin Coaches :
The coaches of the Golden Chariot train are named after the dynasties who ruled in Karnataka- Kadamba, Hoysala, Rastrakota, Ganga, Chalukya, Bhahamani, Adhilshahi, Sangama, Shathavashna, Yudukula and Vijayanagar. Each coach of the train echoes the memories of the royal dynasties and their timeless glory. The intricate carvings on the ceiling, furniture of the interiors all are reminiscent of the Mysore and Hoysala architecture. The facilities of the luxury coaches are fully ac cabins, 26 twin beds, 17 double bed cabins, and one cabin for physically challenged. The amenities include writing desk, LCD television, DVD with 6 satellite channels, wardrobe, and private bathroom with accessories.
Nala and Ruchi - Two Restaurants :
Both the restaurants of the Golden Chariot Train are festooned in a royal style. The interiors are epitome of the aesthetics of Hampi and Halebid. The restaurant Nala is named after a king and legendary chef from the times of the Mahabharata and the meaning of the restaurant Ruchi is ‘fine taste in Sanskrit’. The two restaurants are a gourmet’s delight which serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian culinary delights.
Madira - The Lounge Bar :
Madira means the mythical drink of the Gods in Hindu mythology. The Madira bar of the Deccan Chariot Train is the perfect place for relaxation. It serves both Indian and imported wine and liquors. The interiors of the bar are festooned with art works which imitate the interiors of the Mysore Palace.
Gym Coach :
The gym coach of the train is equipped with two massage rooms and a gymnasium which has modern workout equipments.
